1. SKIER ABILITY DEFINITIONS

In an effort to improve the on-mountain experience of our members and, importantly, MEMBER SAFETY, the Bend Ski Club hosts skiing events for four skier ability levels. So that skiers can be grouped appropriately, when you register, you will be asked to choose the level most consistent with your abilities. While participating in events, you will be required to ski in a manner consistent with other members of the event. If you find the terrain, pace of the event, instructions from your meetup leader, etc. not to your liking, please excuse yourself from the event or, at his or her discretion, the meetup leader will excuse you from the event.

Mellow Intermediate. Groomers Only. Mostly blue runs, with a possible green run to warm up. Pace is relaxed and mellow, with stops on the runs to regroup.

Fast Intermediate. Mostly blue runs, with possibly groomed black runs if the conditions are right. Pace is moderately fast, with fewer stops on the runs to regroup.

Advanced Intermediate. More challenging. Blue and black runs. Easier off-piste for powder and easy trees. Relaxed pace, with stops on the runs to regroup.

Advanced. Requires the technical ability to ski anywhere on the mountain at a reasonably fast pace with fewer stops. Usually off-piste for non-groomed experience. Powder, trees, open areas, whatever is good.

2. FILL OUT OUR MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION FORM AND PAY THE MEMBERSHIP DUES

3. JOIN OUR MEETUP GROUP

All on-mountain skiing events and off-mountain social events are posted on the meetup website.  To be notified of and/or register for our events, you must be a member of our meetup group.

First, join meetup...  Create a Meetup Account | Meetup

Then, within the meetup website, find and "request to join" our group... Bend Ski Club (Bend, OR) | Meetup

A Bend Ski Club representative will receive the request, confirm you are a paid member of the Bend Ski Club, then approve your request.  When approved, you will receive an email confirming your membership in our meetup group, after which time you will be notified of (and be able to sign up for) all of our posted events.
