On-Mountain Meetups
Meetups for Skiing and Snowboarding
The club hosts on-mountain events for a wide range of abilities
The club has a number of volunteer leaders who regularly post meetup events almost every week during the winter season, starting at either Mt. Bachelor’s Sunrise or West Village Lodges. During the 2024-2025 season, 80 on-mountain events were held, resulting in several meetups per week!
Each meetup is scheduled at the discretion its leader, typically lasts about 2 hours, and is geared to a specific ability and pace described below. All meetup events are posted on the Bend Ski Club group on the meetup.com website and are restricted to paid club members.
Mellow Intermediate
Groomers only.
Mostly blue runs, with a possible green run to warm up.
Pace is relaxed and mellow, with multiple stops on the runs to regroup.

Pace is moderately fast, with fewer stops on the runs to regroup.
Advanced Intermediate

Powder, trees, open areas – whatever is good!
Meetup Rules
This is a group activity! Review the meetup definitions above and make sure that you are a good fit in terms of temperament and skill level.
If you choose to leave the group by going significantly faster, slower, taking a different route, etc., you have an obligation to alert the leader. When you leave the group, you are on your own.
Regroup outside the lift staging area. Make sure everyone is present before getting in line, and decide in advance which direction to exit from the chair.
When skiing off-piste, use the buddy system to make sure no one gets left behind.
